Intern with Lumen Couture and MakeFashion

Work in media and content creation with Lumen Couture and MakeFashion.

Are you interested in working at the intersection of Fashion and Technology? Lumen Couture and MakeFashion are looking for a media intern for 6 weeks. This role will involve image and video content creation for social media (instagram, youtube), writing, and blogging. You’ll also have the ability to flex your creative muscle with styling and fashion creation and curation projects. There may be opportunities for event attendance and influencer work.

Dates: Aug 12 – Sept 20 (specific start/end dates negotiable)
6 weeks, approx 4-5 hours/week
$400 honorarium

You’ll get to work hands-on with industry leaders, including Chelsea Klukas (10+ years in product design, fashiontech,  and marketing leadership including Amazon, Facebook, and Oculus), the MakeFashion leadership team (Shannon Hoover and Maria Hoover), and professional models, photographers, and stylists.

In addition to the honorarium, you will receive FashionTech product samples to aid in content creation.

Candidate can be located anywhere (remote worker).

Required qualifications:

  • Skilled writer (English)
  • Eye for fashion and visual quality
  • Good communicator and able to work remotely and on schedule
  • Familiar with social media (instagram, facebook, pinterest) and growth marketing
  • Familiar with wordpress
  • Access to laptop and camera (latest model smartphone cameras are ok)
Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with photography
  • Experience with basic graphic design and layout (sketch, photoshop)
  • Experience with video editing and production
  • Experience with fashion technology (sewing, basic electronics)
