This year we were invited to participate in Tech Fashion Tour in Mumbai. This was the fifth year of the event, hosted by Exhibit magazine. The event showcased local designers, and every year invites an international designer who is a leader in combining tech and fashion.

Our fashion tech journey started over 7 years ago, with our founder Chelsea Klukas co-founding MakeFashion when she lived in Calgary. After years of producing the events and curating the annual collection, Klukas was inspired to launch the Lumen Couture line.

The deadline to place orders to arrive for the holidays is Dec 14th by noon.
I will be traveling starting Dec 15th, and will not be available to ship orders during that time. As a small independent business who hand-makes and hand-packs every order, I currently don’t have a method to ship orders while I’m away traveling. This is something I’m hoping to solve in the new year as my business grows.

The outfit was commissioned for or her performance at the 2018 MakeFashion runway show. The headdress and necklace are inspired by illuminated crystals. Lumen Couture has extended the runway concept to ready-to-wear illuminated quartz jewelry that is available for purchase.
Lumen Couture is available for custom garments for singers and performers.
